Aline Küstahler
Editing has been a lifelong passion of mine.
After studying at Zurich University of the Arts and Ravensbourne University London, I gained experience working with renowned Swiss production companies stories and EQAL. These experiences have shaped my approach to editing, combining a strong creative instinct with technical expertise and an eye for detail.
With a diverse portfolio spanning documentaries, employer branding, commercials, and short-form content, I enjoy exploring different formats.
I bring creative heart and a healthy dose of Swiss precision to every edit.
Career
Editor, Post Production
I work part-time as an editor in post production for EQAL (eqal.ch), on projects for clients such as Electrolux, Geberit and Volvo, alongside my freelance work. Besides editing, I create animations in After Effects and have deepened my skills in DaVinci Resolve. I take responsibility for full projects, including productions with Swiss celebrities such as Melanie Winiger and Wendy Holdener, and I have edited live in front of clients. I also work on large-scale versioning and complex conforming, delivering every project accurately and on schedule.
Freelance Editor
I work as a freelance editor on commercials, employer branding films, interviews, events, weddings, music videos and social media content. Working closely with each client, I bring their vision to life, from the first rough cut to the final delivery.
Editor, Post Production
After my Master's degree, I joined the film production company Viven AG as an editor in post production. I reviewed rushes, edited rough and fine cuts, and worked client feedback into each version. I also created animations, finished projects with light color grading and audio mixing, and managed all versions and backups.

I started with an internship at stories AG, a renowned film production company in Zurich, and stayed on in a full-time position as a junior editor in post production. I completed projects, managed versions, added subtitles and artwork, and handled the backup process.
